Used and damaged lithium-ion batteries (from e-bikes, e-scooters, power tools, laptops) cannot be safely stored in regular plastic or thin metal containers. They can overheat, ignite or enter thermal runaway — a self-sustaining exothermic reaction that releases heat, flammable and toxic gases.

A dedicated non-combustible container such as PassivX BIN combines a galvanized steel frame, cement-bonded particle board panels and controlled venting (optionally with a flame arrestor). It does not extinguish a battery fire, but it limits the consequences of a battery failure — separating the cells from the surroundings and directing gases out in a controlled way.

Recommended for: e-bike and e-scooter stores and service points, battery collection points, recycling and waste management companies, warehouses, schools, laboratories, hotels and shopping malls. For charging small Li-ion batteries (drills, power tools, e-bikes), a separate dedicated product — PassivX Charge Box — is being prepared.
